Diane Johnson

My passion is fiber and working with it in many ways to make unique handcrafted accessories. I’ve been described as a small boutique, offering a variety of accessories for men, women, and children. My product line follows, along with a brief description of the creative process.

• Free lace scarves – I came upon this wonderful technique for sewing intricate fibers together, using a specialized water-soluble paper. These lacey scarves can be worn year-round with a variety of outfits.
• Shawls, scarves, and cowls, handknit using luxury yarns. I add delicate seed beads to the edging of some of my shawls.
• Knit and felted items, including eyeglass cases, handbags/totes, mittens and stuffed animals. I frequently add beads, novelty fibers, and needle-felting to my finished pieces for unique, one-of-a-kind designs.
• Whimsical hats, mittens and booties for babies and children that I design and knit using a variety of colorful fibers.

For over 10 years I have taught knitting (beginner skills to advanced) to adults and children. I teach through Lincoln-Sudbury Adult Education program, at local yarn shops, and in my home in Acton.
