From PhD research chemist to metalwork artist is not too big a leap. Both involve keen observation and creativity and it’s the leap I took in 2000 when I retired as Vice Presidentof Covalent Associates, Inc.

Although I had been painting watercolor landscapes for years in my spare time, I finally got the time to try new things. With so many nearby opportunities to take classes in metal working, glass bead making, jewelry fabrication and enameling on silver and copper, I took advantage to learn these different crafts. The results are my hand forged and enameled copper bowls and necklaces, fine silver earrings, bracelets and pendants and fused glass earrings. I love combining these techniques in surprising ways to make  beautiful things. It’s all fun!

I am a member of the Metalworkers Guild at the Lexington Arts show and Crafts Society, the Sudbury Arts Association, and the Worcester Enamelist Guild. I sell my work at several nearby galleries and at juried craft shows in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
