Social Media: How to use Instagram

Using Instagram to help promote SAA Events

1. Like the post

2. Comment on the post. It is more likely that someone will see the post if you like and comment on it

3. You can repost the picture by taking a picture of it with your phone.

• Every phone is a little different so hopefully you know how to do this on your phone

4. Share the post in your stories

• Click on the arrow icon under the picture on the left-hand side

• You should see “Add post to your story” next to your picture. Click on that.

• You can then add a comment if you want to by clicking on the “Aa” on the top right.

  • Type in what you want to say

  • You can change the color of the text by click on one of the colors below

  • You can change the style of the text by click on the center top box - it should default to “CLASSIC”

  • Click “DONE” when finished adding text.

  • You can then put your finger on the text and move it where you want it

  • Then click on “Your Story” to add to your story
